![]() I saw solutions for the pc that included opening the file with the 'Open and Repair' option, which doesn't exist on the mac. Opening with other spreadsheet apps - I get screen garbage. I've searched online and tried the various techniques - turning calculations to manual and opening (nothing happens or opens) tried the file name copy in A1 get a value error and various online corruption recovery service. Verify the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file. The file format or file extension is not valid. When I re-launched the application and tried to open the file I was working on - a multi-sheet workbook, ![]() I was woking with a saved excel doc and the application crashed. I have an older version of Office on my Mac - Office 2011 but all current with updates.
